We believe that we can best succeed in our aims when
parents and the school work in close partnership. We encourage parental
involvement in classes and throughout the school. Between us we have
the most important job of educating your children; enhancing their
academic and social skills, their physical development, their emotional
and spiritual development and in preparing them for the future. For our
part we will do all we can to ensure that your children receive a good
education. As a parent or carer, you can ensure that your children get
the maximum benefit from their education by involving yourself in and
supporting their learning. You can also help by ensuring that your
children get a good night’s rest and arrive on time for school each day.
The aims of the school are as follows:
To provide a welcoming, safe and caring environment in which each child’s uniqueness is valued, supported and respected.
To build and maintain effective partnerships in the school community and in the wider community.
To provide a wide and balanced range of learning experiences through
which each child will develop their full potential as successful
learners, confident individuals, responsible and respectful citizens,
and effective contributors.
To equip children with the life-long learning skills required to be proactive and successful in the 21st century.
To continually improve the health of all children and staff through
strategies which promote a balanced life style and encourage physical
and emotional wellbeing as well as high self esteem.
To ensure all members of the school community enjoy equality of access
to educational opportunities regardless of their additional support
needs, religious, cultural, racial, social or economic background. To
provide effective support systems for all to achieve their potential.
To ensure that the school’s promoted staff provide the highest quality
of leadership and management and support for all. To improve the
quality of educational experiences by providing a programme of
continuing professional development for all staff. To promote and
enable leadership to be distributed throughout the school.
