The Haunted House by Thomas Gray

In the cellar is

a vampire and it sucks green blood

a sack of bones

a ghost that makes this sound ooooow!

a witch making a broomstick

and the only sound

is a rumble of distant thunder.

In the attic is

a row of ten bats on the ceiling

an arm in the oven

a ghost it is dead on the bed

a witch’s hat on the floor with spider webs on top of it

and the only sound

is the eerie song of the wind.

a bottle of blood next to a rusty bed

a vampire lying on the floor

a dead body lying in an old oven

a bag full of bones at the stairs

a head on a pan being ready to be cooked

a skeleton trying to catch a bat

a row of bats hanging from the roof

a dead body on the floor

Last week I went to Antarctica and saw a penguin swimming in the water. I saw a helicopter and got inside and looked out of the window. I saw a mountain covered with snow and it was slidy. Then I went home.

I travelled to Greenland on a plane. I made a huge igloo. I could not sleep because it would not get dark. I went to the sea to ice skate and go fishing but a penguin got my fish. Next I saw a polar bear. It began to chase me and I ran to my igloo. When I went home I looked at photos of me.

I saw a penguin on an iceberg then it dived back in the water. One day I built an igloo but a polar bear came and knocked it down and it started to chase me. After that I went home and a polar bear was chasing my car. Me and my mum were in the car but the polar bear got run over.
